Does Replit AI train its models on your data?
It depends — Replit AI trains on consumer/free-tier data by default but excludes business, enterprise and API tiers.
Replit's training hinges on public vs private: content in public Apps may be used to develop and train LLMs, while private Apps are excluded from AI training. For AI Integrations, paid model endpoints have training disabled but free endpoints may train on and publish your prompts.
Can you opt out?
Keep work in private Apps to exclude it from training. For Replit AI Integrations, paid endpoints have training disabled by default; free endpoints may train and publish unless avoided. You can bring your own API key to bypass Replit's managed routing, and Enterprise restricts routing to zero-data-retention endpoints only.
Zero retention / DPA
Enterprise enforces ZDR-endpoints-only routing, so requests go solely to model endpoints that retain no data (at the cost of a narrower model selection). Self-serve paid endpoints disable training but are not full ZDR; free endpoints may retain/publish. A DPA with SCCs is available; account data deleted within 30 days of request. Replit holds SOC 2 Type 2. DPA ↗
What the listicles get wrong
The nuance content farms miss: public Apps can train Replit's LLMs by default — privacy comes from keeping Apps private. Even for paid users, FREE model endpoints in AI Integrations may train on and publish your prompts; only Enterprise forces ZDR-only routing. Enterprise tuning on your code is opt-in and customer-isolated.
